Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How are the Containers delivered?
A. They are delivered on a semi truck and trailer.
Q. How much room to I need to have a Container placed on my site?
A. You need to have at least 150 feet in total length in front of where you want to place the unit, but only 25 to 50 ft of space for the actual Container.
Q. I am building a new home in the Hills and want a unit delivered. Can you do that?
A. Yes, but since these units come on a Semi tractor and trailer, the road has to be wide enough and straight enough to get in and out.
If you order a unit and the truck can not make it in safely, you still have to pay a delivery fee.
Q. Do we have a choice on which way the doors face?
A. You can have the doors to the front of the unit or the back of the unit - for double doors on one side or the other.
You have to let us know when ordering which way you want the units. The driver will back into the desired location, tip the end of unit towards the ground then pull out from underneath of it. The unit must be loaded onto the trailer in the proper direction to have it delivered correctly. Doors to the front or back for standard units, double doors to the passenger or drivers side for double door units.
Q. Are the units water tight?
A. Yes they are for rain(except the units with roll up side doors). They do have wooden floors though, and are not flood proof. IF you plan on setting the units where there will be flowing or standing water, you need to elevate the unit to allow the water to flow past the unit and evaporate. We can help you with the setup if you let us know before delivery. If the doors are open pests can sneak in and we are not responsible for that. Even though we check the units prior to delivering we recommend upon delivery to go inside the unit, close the doors and check for light. If they see something we can fix it immediately. If the customer finds an issue with the unit they need to call us immediately.
Q. Can I get the unit picked up anytime?
A. Yes, during the week, but If the unit has been requested for pick up but is frozen to the ground, stuck in the mud, or the roads are unable to be traveled the customer will be charged the monthly rate until we are able to pick up the unit. Weather is also a factor with delivery. If it's windy we cannot deliver or pick up anything, it is a serious safety issue.
Q. Can the unit be moved when it is full.
A. No. We can move the unit after delivery to another location, but only if empty.
